Granite is a very common igneous, intrusive rock, laden with Quartz and Feldspar, found throughout the earth's crust, forming from slow crystallisation of magna. Granite ranges from medium to course grain, forming in irregular patches of variable size.   Granite occurs in a range of colours depending on the mineral/impurity content.  Granite is a common component of everyday life, occurring as tiles and paving materials, bench tops and monuments.  Granite is also the building material of some of the world's greatest human constructed treasures, such as Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, USA, and the Brihadeeswarar Temple to Shiva in Southern India.

This particular stone sourced from the UK is Orange Granite that includes an obvious Quartz component.  This Orange Granite sourced it colour from a variation of Pink Potassium Feldspar where the pink colour is more orange red, and/or from Iron Oxide in the Hematite inclusions.

This Orange Granite is a grounding sacral chakra stone associated with the beauty, and at first blush, the simplicity of the natural world.  Of course on further exploration the natural world is incredibly complex and intrinsically connected to encompass plant and animal life, the earth and atmosphere in a unique intricate balance.  In first instance many complex systems can appear simple or straightforward, yet upon further inspection be incredibly involved, as can be the way of human emotion and relationships.

Orange Granite in deep meditative practice can be a refreshing 'reset' to your thought processes when considering matters of interpersonal relationships, sex and creativity wherein you can acknowledge and accept something to be effortless and complicated all at once.

This particular alien carving has flashy yellow green labradorite eyes, giving an other-worldly aspect appropriate for persons seeking connection beyond the realms of modern scientific understanding.
