K2 Azurite Skull [1k1573]

K2 Azurite is an uncommon, unique combination of Granite and Blue Azurite found exclusively in the Skardu region of northern Pakistan.  Also called 'K2 Jasper', this material is not Jasper at all. The Granite is usually a white grey colour, but less frequently it can be a dark grey; the blue Azurite appears as irregular orbs or spots throughout.  K2 Azurite's combination of Granite and Azurite is very unusual and quite unlike any other stone; definitely one to stand out in a crowd!

Found at the Karakoram Range, specifically at the base of the second highest mountain in the world known as "Mount Godwin Austen"; K2 Azurite is a stone that has been on a journey!  The location of origin is very remote, very rugged and very isolated.
