Dinosaur Egg Agate is named as such due to the resemblance to a fossilised dinosaur egg.  Dinosaur Egg Agate can be a very flashy stone with bands, swirls and/or irregular patches of red, green, brown and black colour and can also be accompanied by quartz, smoky quartz and/or amethyst crystals in a geode cavity.  Dinosaur Egg Agate is an uncommon stone from a very specific location in Liaoning, China, which is also the source of several other very unique stones.
