Aventurine is a translucent quartz or quartzite that obtains its colour from inclusions.  Aventurine is abundant in green, but also can also occur as colours including yellow, orange, red, blue and purple.  The purple colour in Purple Aventurine is due to lithium rich Lepidolite Mica content which also produces the signature Mica sparkle.
