Ruby Zoisite Orca (Killer Whale) [1k1022]

Ruby Zoisite (Ruby in Zoisite) or Anyolite is a metamorphic rock comprising of Ruby and Zoisite, and frequently also a black Amiphobole. 

Ruby Zoisite is a visually, bright, striking stone that can in deep meditative practice be used to develop intuition and psychic endeavours.  It is important to note that we really have quite limited understanding about the human brain and its abilities.  Many people are quick to dismiss what they do not understand, but this is short sighted.  Having an open mind is one of the wonders of being human and making the most of our emotional, spiritual and physical journey in this life.  A vibrant stone, Ruby Zoisite is associated with both your heart and third eye chakras, and has been called a talisman for finding love.  

This carving is of an Orca, or a Killer Whale.  The term Killer Whale is a misnomer, as these mammals are the largest members of the dolphin family.  Extremely intelligent, Orcas are well organised, highly sophisticated hunters, frequently doing so in 'pods' or packs.  Clearly identifiable due to their colouring, shape and size, these fascinating animals rule their watery domain with ingenuity and grace.
